Confidence Units & Scoring

Confidence Units (CU)

Confidence Units are a limited per-period budget of "conviction" you can allocate across your predictions. They represent how strongly you stand behind a forecast.

•No monetary value: CU cannot be bought, sold, or transferred
•Limited budget: You receive a fresh allocation each period
•Locked until resolution: Committed CU are held until your prediction is resolved

Reputation Score (RS)

Your Reputation Score is your long-term credibility metric based on past resolved predictions. It updates over time using an ELO-like system that weighs expected vs. actual outcomes.

•Earned through accuracy: RS increases with correct predictions, decreases with wrong ones
•Can be negative: Poor track records result in negative RS
•Domain-specific ranks: Build reputation in specific areas like politics, economy, or tech

Prediction Weight

The influence of your prediction is calculated as:

Weight = RS × CU

Higher reputation and more confidence both increase the impact of your forecast on the leaderboard.
